Gene Whitehouse serves as a Tribal Council member for the United Auburn Indian Community and has held this position in December 2004.

Prior to being elected, Gene served on the United Auburn Indian Community – Educational Services Committee and held positions at Thunder Valley Casino and Lucent Technologies.
