New pavement has been laid down on the All American Speedway in
Roseville, Ca, as the quarter-mile track that is entering its 50th year
at the Placer County Fairgrounds prepares for a big season.
American Engineering and Asphalt of Rocklin was awarded the $110,000
contract that includes new asphalt, aprons and drains.
The main grandstand and the pit grandstand have also been spruced up,
and there is there is a newly remodeled snack bar under the
grandstands.
The California Department of Food and Agriculture's Division of Fairs
and Expositions provided funding for the landmark project. Its the
first renovation to the track's surface since 1989.
The historic quarter-mile track has seen the likes of Jim Inglebright
and Bill McAnally compete on it, and it was the home of the Rose
Classic from 1975 to the early 90s.
Racing kicks off March 12 with the first of three consecutive play day
practice sessions for the cars and drivers of the Thunder Valley Casino
Championship Cup Series. CLICK HERE for complete

Each day runs from 12-6 p.m. and is free for fans to view.
Opening night is slated for April 2nd, with the regular four-divisions
of Modifieds, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Bombers plus the Young
Gun Mini Cups for drivers ages 8-16 years old.
April 9th the track will host the first ever West Car Late Model race,
a 100 lap race bringing in cars from all over the west for a 100 lap
main event.
