Thunder Valley Casino to donate 5,000 pounds of food to Sacramento Food Bank

WHAT: Directors of Thunder Valley Casino, led by General Manager Scott Garawitz, are celebrating the holiday season by delivering over 5,000 pounds of food to the Sacramento Food Bank at 12:30p.m.on Wednesday, December 20 at the Food Bank's warehouse at 3333 Third Avenue in downtown Sacramento.

The donation includes 250 turkeys, 250 hams, 500 cans of cranberry, 500 boxes of stuffing mix, 500 cans of yams, 250 powdered gravy mixes and 500 ready to cook apple pies. This food is enough to feed approximately 500 families or 2,000 people.

Thunder Valley Casino, located 30 miles east of Sacramento, is an entertainment and dining complex owned by the United Auburn Indian Community that opened in June 2003.
