Casino Expansion Project Resumes

LINCOLN, Calif. -- Thunder Valley Casino executives said their expansion project is back under way.

The United Auburn Indian Community-owned casino in Lincoln stopped work this winter.
Acting General Manager Richard St. Jean said construction has begun again on a scaled-back 15-story hotel and spa.
The casino previously had planned a 23-story hotel, nine-story parking tower and a performing arts center.
The project, which is expected to create 500 jobs, should be done next year, representative Doug Elmets said.
